Shoot against the sun for dramatic imagery

Shadows are just as important as the lighting itself. Move the light, or the subject into a position where both the lighting and shadows are in harmony.

While the background is important, the light on your subject is equally important. Select a background when the lighting is best. Whether it be in the shade or sun, back-lit or side-lit.
